RE: Steem trek (My journey on Steem Part 9): Reviewing Steemauto; Free and unlimited automation service on the Steem blockchain

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

Thank you for this contribution.

This is a rather useful tool, and it's good to see that you decided to create an informative blog post about Steemauto. The post is also comprehensive and well-illustrated with relevant graphic content.

On the content side, I like all the information provided. The post is extensive and editorial, and contains valuable information about the project. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your personal knowledge and views, and I enjoyed reading about the upcoming update, but I must admit that I wish you had provided us with more information on this matter.

That said, there were issues of style and proofreading, but not to the level where it hurt the readability of your post. Furthermore, I have to say that I don't see the need for so many short paragraphs. Good paragraphs divide up your content according to major points, and each paragraph should discuss one main, identifiable idea. Too many short paragraphs make it really hard for the readers to get a flavour of the key points for the whole text; therefore, the post looks like a bullet point essay, which indicates that the ideas have not been linked together in a coherent argument.

Moreover, even though I like this series of yours so much, I can't help but notice that you have already reviewed nine different projects in this Steemtrek journey. I appreciate the effort, but you have to realize that a great series of blog posts should be focused on one specific project.

In conclusion, this is another nice contribution from you, and I certainly enjoyed reading your work.

Thanks for your review @lordneroo. I will take your advice into consideration in my next article.

But, I'm quite confused about the series linking.
In each post I've published under this series, I've reviewed only one project per post. I make sure I try to cover all the information of the project in one article.
Would you rather I split the content made up for one project in several articles?
I guess your comment and the review answer in the questionnaire suggests I terminate the series.

When I began this series, I talked about the reason why I started it. Reviewing several Dapps on the blockchain.
If it was inappropriate, you could have stopped me from the first article I published.

So, I noticed the influx of contributors in the blog category submitting several contributions and making long series out of nothing.
But, I feel if the purpose of the series is justified, it shouldn't be a problem how long it is.

What then is a series if all I did was jump on any project, submit one or two articles about it and I'm out.

The trek ends here.

But, I'd love to hear your reply.

This is a very interesting series, and as I've said multiple times in the past, I have learned a lot reading your work. The point I'm trying to get across is that I can't score this blog post as part of a series. However, if you ask me, I think that you should keep writing about your Steemtrek journey. You've been doing a really good job.

There is nothing inappropriate about your work. As I said, you should keep doing what you love. We are just changing the way we evaluate blog posts.

I hope you will find this comment useful.

Have a good day!

Oh okay @lordneroo. Thanks for taking your time to clear things up.
I totally understand why the review system has to change and I'm in full support.
Too many contributors trying to game the system.
I just a better system is put in place to checkmate this issue.
Thanks again.

Thank you for your review, @lordneroo! Keep up the good work!
