Hello everyone,
as mentioned in my previous contribution, I have been on a new Steemit mission since @utopian-io & @davinci.witness launched the Translation Category, giving us the opportunity to offer our services and help in the translation of various Open Source projects. As explained previously, FreeCAD is my second project. FreeCAD is an Open Source AutoCAD competitor that runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and supports various types of open file formats.
FreeCAD can be a really useful asset that comes with unique advantages. This is obviously an Open Source project, however what makes FreeCAD special is the fact that it was developed with the utilization of content from all significant Open Source libraries in the field of Computational Science. This is one of its key characteristics and undoubtedly the most significant advantage over its competition. And that is because too many bright minds around the world can keep doing research and improving all modules of this software simultaneously. Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
This is the fifth part of a very demanding project, as explained in my previous contributions. It is worth noting that FreeCAD is a large project that consists of roughly 32,000 words. I will be translating from 1,000+ to 1,200+ words in each part, making sure to conclude at least two to three parts every seven days so that this project is finished in time. My translation is now 20% complete and subject to @ruth-girl's proof-reading.
- Languages
The current project is being translated from English to Greek.
- Word Count
According to Crowdin, in this part I translated 1,230 words (1,245 as demonstrated on Crowdin, minus approximately 1% of those as untranslated words). Around 238 words were corrected from previously submitted translations in the period of time demonstrated in the screenshots below.

This was your 6th contribution to the Translation category and the 5th part from the FreeCAD project.
As I mentioned in your first FreeCAD contribution post:
This time you have chosen a difficult project; not only is it a long text, but technical terms are plentiful in FreeCAD and you need to spend a long time looking up for the correct translation of those terms in the target (Greek) language. I trust you being an engineer qualifies you for this particular project and I am sure you will manage to complete it correctly.
This part seemed to be less difficult than the previous ones. There were still terms that needed careful examination in order to make sure you will get their appropriate Greek translation, but there were also plenty of easy strings that didn’t require too much energy. With the first parts being more difficult and your constant searching and updating your past work, you can consider this a welcome break.
Now, off to the translation part, there is nothing new to say regarding your work. You keep producing high quality texts, you pay attention to detail and always go through your previous parts for minor corrections that come up over the course of the project.
Your translation is accurate, your language is again correct and your writing style is adjusted appropriately.
Your contribution post is also correct and follows the given guidelines.
