UTOPIAN GOSPEL:REACHING OUT TO DEVELOPERS AND NON-DEVELOPERS IN NIGERIA, WITH THE PLATFORM THAT APPRECIATES CONTRIBUTIONS TO OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS

Introduction

The Steemit project, since it's conception has been a great wave and is spreading constantly. I was fortunate to join this platform late last year and my life has been changed since then. Utopian.io, a project based on the steem blockchain which allows one get rewarded for contributions made to open source projects is the best place to be for not only developers but anyone out there who is willing to aid open source projects. I personally, have made many contributions to Utopian.io, of which over 20 have been approved. Other people deserve the chance to make their contributions heard and as well get rewarded for their work.

Audience

I figured this project would be best promoted to an audience of people of both genders, being between the ages 18 to over 65. To be more specific, I particularly focused on students, workers as well as people familiar with cryptocurrencies. The promotion is capable of reaching over 10000 people.

Activity

I chose Facebook to be my publicity platform and created a page named Open Source vybezzz using my already existing account named Favour Ogorchukwu Otunji. A post was made which explained Utopian.io and encouraged the viewer to join. A link was provided so as to access the Utopian.io website for more information and for signing up.

Results

I ran an ad which was able to reach over 1200 people as I prepared this post. An encouraging amount of over 600 likes was generated from the audience.

Being an active contributor to open source projects with over 20 approved contributions. I'll share the news to developers and open source projects enthusiasts and show them a way to get rewarded by making contributions. Thanks!
