Introduction

Bringing influence to opensource projects are important tasks in helping to create awareness of these projects to people who might be interested in them. The need to make these projects known spurred me to conduct several promotional campaigns of opensource projects and this I do online using my social account on facebook.

Steemcasino has changed the game on the steem blockchain. Steemcasino offers almost same services as a real casino with a good number of games to play which includes popular games like poker, blackjack and roulette etc which users can play and earn more steem cryptos. Steemcasino is a game changer because, while other projects built on the steem blockchain require a certain level of skill and advanced intellect, steemcasino can be easily be utilized by anyone, therefore users who can't blog on steemit or contribute to open source projects on utopian, can get a chance to earn some steem from gambling. There are other features that makes steemcasino valid to go viral, but simply gambling and betting on luck can not be a less better reason and also this is done in the interest of the developer to bring in more users of the project, the more gamblers, the higher the stakes.


Audience

For the selection of audience for this particular promotion, a lot of factors were considered. These factor includes;

  • minimum age that is acceptable globally for intended gamblers in a real life casino
  • location that is likely to have a relevant number of people interested in gambling
  • gender
  • special interests in gambling

With these parameters in mind, I decided my target audience would be;

  • AGE: 18-65+ years ( 18 years is considered to be the minimum age for adulthood and adults are eligible to gamble)
  • LOCATION: Africa. Being the second largest continent with over 50 countries, it is likely to contain a huge amount of interested persons.
  • GENDER: Women were not excluded from this promotion, as there are several women who even own casinos. Men and Women were my target audience
  • INTERESTS: The promotion was narrowed to people who had interest in casinos, money , gambling and cryptocurrency.

Activity

Acting on the request of the project owner, I carried out a campaign on my social account facebook preferably.
The campaign was put forward with a concise post about the project(steemcasino). Details of the post includes the services the project will provide, it's benefits and also a direct link to the website where interested persons can login and start gambling.

After putting it up (the post), I utilized my ads account to boost the campaign with specific parameters to meet my target audience stated above. The boost was optimized for link clicks which was the intent of the project owner.

From the table, it is evident that men had more reach and link clicks across all the age range, this also proves that more men are interested in gambling than women.
