As you can see if you are navigating any users blog feed. All the NSFW posts will be visible by default. And this means you don't have more control over the NSFW content visibility. Also you will be forced to view every thumbnail and it can add more burden over attention span of the user. The option to enable, disable and warn before displaying any NSFW content is already in place in steemit.com under settings. Once you have enabled the NSFW, you will of-course be able to view the NSFW content. To control it, simply go back to settings and change the option.
