QueryJane | Development update.

QueryJane is a web application developed with Django that allows to connect with companies and experts in different sectors of the cannabis industry.

Beta version is available here.

New Features

1. Users can send messages to companies.

Previously, users can only send and receive private messages directly to/from other users of the platform. Now, there is available a new button in the "company detail" page called Send message:

By clicking this button, the compose message form will be displayed:

Sent messages will be visible only for company administrators.

2. Created "Messages" section in company administrators dashboard.

Company administrators can check received messages in the new tab called "Messages", in the company settings section.

And in the same way that users can check received messages, company administrators can read the message content:

3. Email notifications to company administrators when receive new messages from users.

Company administrators will be notified about new messages via email:

4. Company administrators can manage email notifications.

In the profile settings view, users can activate/deactivate email notification for new messages sent to their managed companies:

5. Platform notifications for new messages to companies from users.

There is a new "notification type" in the platform notifications system. If a new message is sent to a company, administrators will be able to see a new notification in the notification menu:

How to contribute?

QueryJane has been developed using the Django framework. You can fork the project, and run it locally is very easy. Follow the steps described in the open source repository installation guide. The project has been configured using Docker. you only need to install Docker and follow these steps.
