LabelImg is a graphic image annotation tool used to catalog/order images by type, size, or whatever characteristic you want to order images into. It uses bounding boxes to delimitate the area of the image you want to put a note or catalog in any way for any purpose (categorization, arrangement, AI, etc). Here's a sample video showing how it works
Benefits / Improvements
The main benefit is the actual logo, the project had none so I offered to design one. I started throwing sketches (since the owner had no ideas or whatsoever) related to the main and functionality of the project which is labeling images to put notes on or categorize them. The result is a logo that reflects the main purpose of the project easily using the commonly known image of the two mountains a the sun (practically, the universal icon to represent "images") and a small bounding box emerging from the center.
A few designs later, the owner accepted one and is now using and enjoying his brand new logo.
The font had to be changed due to readability issues since the project's name is LabelImg, people could confuse the "i" from Img with an "L" because they're both printed the same in many fonts. The new font distinguishes the uppercase "i" with the "l" so there's no place for misunderstandings.

It's really nice to see that you contributed well-known project!
I liked your logo design and presentation. Everything is understandable and logo design clearly shows the function of the project.
However, in my opinion it could be better if you kept the elements more minimal. In single color version, the logo design losing it's meaning but it's not a big deal for such project like that.
