How to add images to steemit post and add image references on the pc

Happy New Year Steemians.
So when I joined steemit newly, as a newbie i was guided on how to add images to make my posts look attractive and well, I learned. I used to get images from all over the place on the internet and I was not getting curated enough because curators of certain communities couldn't curate my posts as the images were not referenced and thus were illegal.
I had to click on the Markdown Styling Guide just above the preview section of my screen to learn how to do it.

Basically, to add images to your posts, there are a couple ways to do it.

  1. Upload a shot from your camera by clicking on the "select them" button in green colour under the posting box.
  2. Upload an image gotten from any online source like pixabay or google-searched images.

No matter how you source your image, I will advice that you use post img to first put the image online to get the link and then add the image to your blog post using the link generated.
The reason I advice this is to make posting easier and to allow your images load quickly on people's devices both mobile and PC as you can choose what size you want your uploaded image to come out in.

Here's an example.
here's the homepage of postimg.org

Now you can choose the size you want the image to come out in

320x240 for websites and email or 640 x 480 for message boards is what i advice for steemit bloggers

Select your image

Then a series of links appear

at the end of each link, there is the copy button. copy and paste Direct link to add image then copy and paste Markdown link to add reference to your image.

You can choose how long you want your image to be online on postimg.org and that is especially helpful for images you own.

You can also choose to add reference to your image by opening a square bracket right underneath the image link you copied from post img, then type the words 'reference or credit or image credit' closee the square bracket and open a bracket without space and then pasting same link from post img.org .

Another means of adding image is copying the image address of any image from google search results and adding the link to your post. then referencing the image in same style as

`[image credit](image link from gooogle search)

Here's how to copy image address from google

go to google.com and type any thing you need an image for. Then click on images. A couple of images, click on whichever you want and then copy the image addres

I used google chrome browser for pc to create this tutorial.

Will create a similar tutorial for those who use mobile phones to blog.
