Introduction
My name is Ebixy Ebi Laffin and I have a page on Facebook where I promote open source applications.
Fixmystreet makes reporting of issues to the right authority easier. Issues like bad road, broken street light, dirty walkways etc. When you make a report, others can see it and the report is updated regularly.
There are platforms for different countries, you find your country platform and make a report for your issue. If there is none for your country, you can also create one. A list of requirements for that is available on the main website.
The software is suitable for developed countries with dedicated channels for reporting issues and a team on the ground to handle it.
Targetting and Choice of Audience
As I said this software will be hard to implement in developing countries due to the bottlenecks ranging from internet availability, inefficient channels for reporting problems, lackadaisical attitude of utility service providers among others.
In Europe and the developed world, the UK has one of the most terrible roads. For this reason, I decided to promote the software to individuals living in the UK aged 18 to 55. With the use of fixmystreet, people can report issues faster and with more comfort.
Country: United Kingdom
Ages: 18 to 55
Interests: community and social services, urban renewal, roads in the united kingdom, government and public utility
Ad message and Call To Action
There was a "send message" call to action button in the ad. This was to enable people to contact me in case they had further questions. At the time of filing this report, there was no message sent to me about the ad.
Graphics
The image used in the ad was fetched from the official website www.fixmystreet.com with dimensions of 1200 x 600. It is suitable for viewing both on mobile and computer feeds.
Goal / Conversions
The goal of the ad was reached because the ideas were to spread the word about what mySociety is doing and how they are changing the world. I was able to reach a considerably large number of people.
The mySociety website encourages us to tell the world about their works.

Results
The ad ran for 10 days. I spent a total of $10, $1 dollar for each day (that's the lowest allowed by Facebook). The ad completed with a CTR of 2.25%. The cost per click stood at $0.03. The previous promotions had an average CPC of $0.05
As usual with mixed gender promotions I had done on Facebook, the ad reached more males than females. Male 72.5% Female 27.5%
