SteemMakers is preparing for the alpha release

The SteemMakers team has been spending their leisure time on preparing everything for the alpha release. @podanrj has been helping out with the graphic design and has done some nice proof of concept work that will be announced soon. @pbock has been busy defining the content and has written an excellent FAQ which will also be announced soon. I have been busy coordinating and reworking the site behind the scenes.

SteemMakers is a community which focuses on uniting, helping and rewarding makers and DIYers on the Steem blockchain. You can find more info about us and how to contact us on our website www.steemmakers.com.

Reworking the site

On the surface not much has been changed. The site started with nothing more than a proof of concept and some fixed information. As such it was not ready to scale. Certain parts such as the menu and footer had to be repeated on every page. That was not maintainable and it was about time to fix this. Both are now dynamically injected in every page.
The menu has also been reworked to allow for submenus and along the way some minor bugs got fixed as well.

Next steps

The front end is nearing a point that was desired for the alpha release. Now we can spend more time on the actual curation and focus more on the content. The FAQ will be announced soon. We will soon reach out to the community for input on where to go next.

Help us out

Anyone interested is free to join and help out. We're especially looking for help on the guidelines and for curators. The code is available on Github, have a look and join us on Discord!
