Complete Guide in Transferring your SBDs + Steems to Poloniex

Ever wonder how to transfer your hard earned SBD's & Steems to an exchanger site? I am personally making this complete guide as a contribution to the open source platform of utopian.io.

Important Note : Please make sure to read the details of this blog for you to have a complete understanding of the deposit/transfer process.

In this blog, I'll give you a complete guide when wanted to withdraw our earnings in Steemit, or we just wanted to pull-out our SBDs or Steems. Since SBD & STEEM are different type of tokens, I'll do a separate guide on it. So, I am making this guide and provide yous a step-by-step procedure :

• Transferring your SBD's to Poloniex
• Transferring your STEEMs to Poloniex

1. Go to your Wallet

By clicking your photo icon located at the upper right portion on Steemit Website, a dropdown will pop-up which will then be able to click on "Wallet". You will then be redirected to your account's wallet. I'll set my account's wallet as an example in transferring funds to Poloniex and let's take STEEM transfer first.

Shown is wallet of the account. Click the value of Steems in your wallet, and you a dropdown will pop-out. Since we are transferring our funds, click on Transfer

When you click the Steem amount, this will be the dropdown result

This is the site interface of Poloniex

Click BALANCES. A dropdown will then pop-out which will enable you to click on Deposits & Withdrawals.

The goal of this tutorial is for us to transfer our funds to Poloniex. Therefore, we need to get the Deposit Address of Steem in Poloniex. Under search tab, type Steem then click on Deposit for you to get the address. Basically, it will be called as MEMO, that address is the thing that we need for us to complete the transferring process.

Below will be the Steem Memo that will pop-out when we click Deposit. You need to click on it for you to get your STEEM MEMO. If in case you still didn't generated it, simply click the Click to Generate Steem deposit address. I intentionally cropped some characters on my Steem memo address for privacy. Though this will be reflected on our wallet history when we transfer, I just don't wanted to paste it publicly.

Copy that memo.

Go back to your wallet, we can now be able to transfer our Steem to Poloniex. With this, we need to fill-out the following :

• To - poloniex
• Amount : Value (Input the value you want to send)
• Memo : c---25af9c5---ad

Here's the clear picture of the transfer :

The process will be complete!

Some may require to input your active or owner key, just place it.

Wait for a few minutes and check your Steems on your Poloniex wallet (the thing that we did above).

Then boom! :)

The amount will be on your poloniex wallet via STEEM, provided that you input the exact details and you followed the steps. To verify if I did the right thing, here's a screenshot my deposit :

Done! Funds are now transferred.

In terms of depositing your SBDs, the only difference between the thing you did above is the deposit address of your SBD's. Search for SBD

The same thing will happen :)

Just be sure to click on Steem Dollars on your wallet when you need to withdraw your SBDs. Then it will not be a problem :). I hope you learned, and will guide you. Thank you.
