Logo Design Proposal for OpenLauncher App

Details

This time I try to propose a new logo for OpenLauncher App. This App is an open source GitHub client. Github link: https://github.com/OpenLauncherTeam/openlauncher. This app can be downloaded here.

I used font Gill Sans MT

Benefits / Improvements

I designed this logo by exploiting the letters L and O to create a unique shape. The shape of the letters L I modified, I put outside the circle around the circle (meaning the letter O), it is very common to do following most of the logo launcher or a famous browser that creates a logo that is almost similar like this. I think this logo can better represent this application, and look more interesting from the original logo.

Tools

In doing this logo, I use Adobe Illustrator CS6 Version 16.0

Your contribution cannot be approved because it does not follow the Utopian Rules.

Hard rules broken:

No benefit over their existing design. New logo design more complicated and only added value is visible "O".
" L" is not readable

Suggestion

In my opinion, gradient using on text is not a good idea
Try to more think about concept
Try to think more simply when you design a logo for mobile application
Avoid using small letter/text and detailed shapes on your logo design
