Some Emoji characters are not displayed properly on Esteem surfer v 2.0.4

Expected Behavior
I'm fascinated by the inclusion of emojis on esteem surfer. However, I expected that the emojis all the emoji characters will be visible.
Actual Behavior.
Firstly, I thought the emojis will be displayed in colors. I know not that's not a bug.
The main issue is that some emojis are kind of invisible. The actual character of the emoji is not displayed. At first I thought it was an issue with my system font. But then again, esteem surfer doesn't use my system font.
How to reproduce.
- Go to post editor on esteem surfer
- Roll your mouse over emoji icon on the markdown short cut bar
- Browse through the emojis
- See error
Test Environment.
- Device- HP pavilion dv7
- Operating system- Windows 7 Ultimate
- Software version- Esteem surfer 2.0.4

The issue has been reported on Github. Here is the link.
According to the developer that responded, the issue is with my windows OS version. My OS version doesn't support the font that was used for the emoji. Hence that's why some emoji characters don't display.
This also proves my assertion that the problem was because of my system font.

I was unable to replicate this on a windows 10. Apparently, this is a windows 7 related issue and as one of the POs said, only a patch can be of help for now.
The bug is of low-priority as labeled in the ticket. It is not a result of a coding mistake, rather this is a case of an older OS version not supporting a particular font. Thus it only affect Windows 7 users. This will be scored as negligible.
The steps provided were easy to follow though I was unable replicate the issue. I like the manner in which you described the actual and expected behavior. Well done :)
PS:
In the context of the bug-hunting questionnaire an analysis is more than just providing suspicions, it is a detailed examination of anything complex(in this case esteem surfer) in order to understand its nature or to determine its essential features : a thorough study doing a careful analysis of the problem. You can include this in future reports :)
