With the current price of steem at $0.89/steem, one need to take a look at the way out for a sustainable way to ensure the high scaling progress of the market, hence the growth of the block chain. So today, I chose to talk about the promotion of Steemit or at least the support of it.

Taking Steemit to the streets

The more popular a community is, the stronger they are and this is true for Steemit. If you are an early adopter of this platform you must be familiar with the 7cents/ steem era and the answer to the question; how did we get here? is very vital for us to get better. In those early days, number of users were few, thus the platform was not popular. There was fewer investors, as such few demand for steem, though the supply was much. Then a time came, when steem got the attention of more investors and users and we got to $1.67/steem. Now, here's why we slackened. We started paying more attention on making the money than growing the platform. We engaged in building projects than building people. We introduced contest, but failed to introduce concepts. Thus, we are now facing a dive in prices because the demand is low, compared to the supplies.

It's time to take Steemit to the streets and invite people to join in numbers. It's time to shout about it or at least support the people that do. If we have a greater number, we will soar high in no time. The answer to the growth of steem is in the number of users.

How more users can influence growth

The more we are, the more we will use steem for transactions. If you look at bitcoin that everyone celebrates today, it's the coin with largest number of users. People can pay for flights, accommodation, school fees, etc with BTC. The thought of having someone in different countries using BTC is enough to encourage one to convert his cash into it and travel anywhere without worries. This can also happen with steem. If you want to travel somewhere and you can't carry cash but can use steem for purchasing stuff, it would be fun to buy steem. In the process of buying, you are increasing demand for steem. It's when we have more people buying than selling, that we can have a price boost.
I love what @ned is doing in introducing SMTs, etc but I challenge him to delegate steem power towards promotion of Steemit and if the number of users and steem price doesn't double in 3 months, feel free to kick me out of Steemit.
I know it as I know my name that the future of Steemit and the price of steem depends on more users, which is possible by promoting it.
