Adding the Word Counter Feature for Zappl Mobile App
Components
I would like to propose the addition of a word/charecter counter for the Zappl Mobile Application. The counter will consist of two sub-section counters separated by a forward slash for counting number of characters as well as number of words in the "Submit a zap" section.
Proposal
The counter feature should be added at the lower right border of the draft space in "Submit a zap" Section. This will ensure easy visibility and allow writers know the number of words or charecters inputted into a "zap".
Mockups / Examples
After implementation of the feature, it should look like this.
A word counter to the left separated from the character counter to the right with a forward slash.
- 5words indicating that there are five words in the "zap" so far.
- 27ch indicating there are twenty-seven alphanumeric characters in the "zap" as well.
Benefits
When this feature is added, Zappl app users will be able to monitor and scale their post drafts not only based on quality but on quantity as well. This will allow users to know the number of words drafted in a "zap" before posting.
