This section of the blog post outlined the need for a verifiable random function, and how it works in the context of the Dfinity blockchain.

This section explained what a threshold relay signature is, and why it's necessary in the Dfinity consensus algorithm.

This section explained why the consensus algorithm is so important, and why near instant finality is important for a scalable blockchain.
