RE: Steemhunt 1.0.0 - If there is any symbol before @username, steemhunt is not showing it as a valid mention

The behavior you described is not a bug, rather it is a behavior that is yet to be supported or implemented together with the mention feature. So the mention isn't working when used with the symbols because it wasn't originally coded to. There is no code in the app's library to suggest it was implemented to.
This should have been a suggestion for an improvement on the named feature. It is seen that the PO labeled it an enhancement, hence a possible improvement on the existing feature. Not a bug fix.
The steps you provided were clear and sufficient. Please when hunting or reporting a bug, do not assume that the PO intended a particular aspect or feature of the app to be like one found on a similar app. These are different people, behind different projects. All with unique ideas on what they'd want in their apps. But this is totally welcome if you intend to make it a suggestion or an improvement on what's already in place.
The submisson title could have been Steemhunt 1.0.0 - Using symbols other than @ before a username makes a mention invalid . Using the name of the app two times in a sentence is considered redundant, we already know your report to be based on the steemhunt app.
