It has been quite interesting to see in 2019 how many different accounts I’ve never heard of or seen before when playing the different games on our blockchain. So many of them never post content, vote, or even set up there profile. Sometimes I just think they are alt accounts. I often wonder how many are people just coming here to enjoy the games and not other elements of the blockchain.

It is also nice to see the dapps slowly creep up in percentage of account creation. I was hoping to see them having a bigger impact by now. While it could be from Steemit having a backlog I always hoped they start to pick up steam in attracting new users who sign up with them.

It will be interesting to see what impact the curation changes will have most importantly on the dapps themselves. I’ve always seen the benefactor option as there way of being reward for being active innovators and providing more to the platform as a whole even if they did not have the biggest of votes to make more off curation. It will be an interesting day when one of them eventually sells for millions or hundreds of millions as companies start buying up tech to get themselves better seated in cryptocurrency.
