Project Details

Dollar Street is a platform that started as a project which aims to visualize and humanize statistics. The thought was simply put this way: "what if we could see statistics?". In the website, you can find the average income information about families all around the world; what they do for living, some of their daily activities and photos attached to most of them. I thought the idea behind the project was very clever and interesting - it's a new take on how we observe information based on just numbers. You get to see the people these numbers are effecting and have a better perspective of their living conditions.
