Legacy key
Proposal
Hello everyone, I would like to propose something special when it comes to passing your will to your love ones. Steemit is no different, it's a community and in every community there is an important person to us who we wanted to pass everything when we die.
Life can be uncertain sometimes, one day we are healthy living, the next day is uncertain that something bad might happen. Most people doesn't want to give their account to anybody even if it's family, but just like what we are doing in real life, we can give something like a WILL only this time we called it "LEGACY KEY".
The owner of STEEMIT account must provide 2 details to activate the legacy key.
Give the complete name of that person.
The relationship of that person to the STEEMIT owner.
These information will be visible for witnesses. So that when the legacy key owner tries to claim the deceased STEEMIT assets. The witnesses must vote based on the legacy key owner post.
Mockups / Examples
The legacy key holder must have an account or create one, then all of the deceased STEEMIT owner asset will be passed to the person who have that legacy key.
He/She will have to input it into the legacy tab under the Wallet tab.
After entering the right legacy key, he or she will be redirected to create a post providing information about himself/herself to prove that he/she is the one that the owner is talking about.
To receive all the assets he/she must have a vote greater than 60% of total witnesses that is designated for this kind of situations.
Note: Forgot to add, we must have a designated witnesses for this kind of situation.
Only then the assets will be passed to the legacy key owner, but for steem power. It will take a full month to transfer all of this or the same amount of time for normal person to withdraw it's steem power.
Benefits
Steemit users can safely assure that if something might happen to them, all their steem power, SBD and STEEM will be passed to the verified person who is holding their legacy key.

@docmastery, No matter approved or not, I upvote and support you.
The idea is good, but over-engineered, it is way easier to use any of the plenty of legacy systems for the same purpose. You could make a key that only activates if the user has not log in in a month, but other than that, no point.
That's why we have special witnesses to verify the integrity if the owner is really deceased or not.
