Welcome to Steem Play 101 - your blog feed for my updates and news regarding the progress of Steem Play.

This serves as Steem Play's newsletter that will include the following parts for each issue: Updates, Contribution Feature, Short-term Goals, Long-term Goals, and a Featured Open Source Game.

What is Steem Play?

It is a gallery of open sourced games designed to be housed in Steemit.com and other front-end websites running on the Steem Blockchain with the goal of using the blockchain (STEEM or SMT) to possibly reward gamers and developers in the future. I shared about Stencyl in the first issue and as of the moment I have successfully created a game from it in Steem Cannon. Currently working with @ruah for an extension that we can use to make Steem Play accessible through Steem front-ends. We're working on making the 2 projects streamlined, they're still called different names for now, but we're already in the talks in Discord.

We also had a lot of contributions for the Steem Play logo and I'm almost picking the logo that this initiative will use for good. Stay tuned for that.

What's Next?

Steem Cannon is part of the Steem Play Gallery initiative. Here's the next updates for Steem Cannon phase 2:

• New customized cannon/tank.
• New themed-enemies, original plan is to battle other social media sites.
• New more suitable bullet.
• New custom backgrounds.
• New custom/multiple pre-made kits. used
• Sound improvements.
