Welcome to Steem Play 101 - your blog feed for updates and news regarding Steem Play's progress.

This serves as Steem Play newsletter that will include the following parts foe each issue: Updates, Contribution Feature, Short-term Goals, Long-term Goals, and a Featured Open Source Game.

What is Steem Play?

It is a gallery of open sourced games designed to be housed in Steemit.com and other front-end websites running on the Steem Blockchain with the goal of using the blockchain (STEEM or SMT) to possibly reward gamers and developers in the future. Updates as of December 2nd

Project Sponsorship was recently announced in @utopian-io and our Steem Play project is one of the first few that received direct delegation from @utopian-io itself. We give our thanks to @elear. This will help us reward contributors for this project even more.

What's Next?

@ruah is trying to make an extension to work with Steem Play so that we can add it to Steemit or other front end sites.

We're gonna work on the website soon. Maybe @ruah can just find a way to show the website within the extension.

Looking Towards the Future

I recently encountered this game maker called Stencyl. I will be trying it out real soon to create my very own game!

It's a good thing the free subscription allows you to make your games available through the web. However, wanting it to be on an Android or iOS requires further licensing and would require a $200 annual fee for using Stencyl.

A roguelike adventure through dungeons filled with dangerous monsters in a quest to find the mystifyingly fabulous Orb of Zot. This is an Open Source game.
