Developers should add word count to Standard notes.

Standard Notes is a note taking application that puts particular emphasis on privacy & security. It is cross-platform and of course, completely open-source. It features unmatched simplicity, end-to-end encryption and powerful extensions.

Proposal

Standard notes is a nice application for note taking, but it doesn't have the word count feature attached to the text field to make it more easy and smart. I suggest that the developers of this app should take this into consideration and make it possible for users to know the number of words they've typed so far on the notes.

This screenshot will show where it should be placed.

It should be placed under options with a toggle where users can either on it or off it if they don't want to use it at the moment.. See picture below to understand ..

When the user turns it on, it will come up in a way that when he is typing, the word count will be updating him automatically on how many words it is. See picture below.

Benefits

It will encourage more users and will also reduce the problems faced by user when it comes to writing articles. It will be of great help especially to the student when it comes to writing an essay or term paper. E.g if they're been told to write an essay or term paper in not less that 300 words, this will make it easier for them to count the words and know when to stop or to continue. It will also rebrand the interface of the app.
