Timber player lacks a feature that will go a long way in promoting it uniqueness.

Proposal
I'm suggesting the addition of update notification to the player. Its function will be to notify users when there is a new update of the app, with changelogs included. Changelog is a page that enlists all the bug fixes and newly added features accompanying the new update

Benefits
When update notification is available, Users can follow up on their favourite application with prompt notice. To know when a bug is fixed or a new feature is added and on which version the changes occurred. With this they can decide to use a prior version which was free of those bug. This will also help a user to know when a version will become obsolete, by notifying them with a warning.
Also when link is added, or there is the capability of in-app update with which latest version can be downloaded, users can easily download the updates, with the conviction that it is the authentic output by the developers. It will also produce a feel of interaction between the users and developer.
