Promote Button Was Not Functional On Steemit.Com (Possibly Resolved)
NOTES:
- This is no longer occurring (as of 3/10/18 6pm EST), but still may be worth exploring what the root cause was/replicating if possible if this isn't a known fix that was just deployed. Something to note is that it beginning to work again was also in line with me reducing the number of people I'm following on my page due to loading/'script not responding' issues, so it may also be worth exploring if there is a threshold of followed users that leads to that error.
Expected behavior
The Promote Modal Opens
Actual behavior
It doesn't. In the console is the error message:
"detailed error: ReferenceError: DEBT_TOKEN_SHOR is not defined
app.e39...d8aa.js (line 1, col 812717)"
Steps That Were Taken (no longer reproducible)
- Navigate to a post that is up to 7 days old ('promote' not available after that)
- Click on the 'promote' button

- Browser: Chrome 64 and Firefox 58
- Operating system: Windows 7

Is this server issue?
Hi @kingsberry, not sure 100% yet, but I believe it is a client-side issue with the js used for the promote button.
I believe they are making some changes in the layout... That's the reason it might not be working. I think if they would've known this issue they might have addressed it earlier.
How many STEEM you will get for your QA worm?
It works the same way as Steemit (although I've never done it before, so i'll update you if it seems different); If people/the Utopian Moderators vote for it, it gets more value. :)

Ah, issue may not be affecting mobile. :)
It was affecting till yesterday, but today it got resolved for me and hope that it will be resolve for everyone.

i posted a error a while back, with steemdev, steemitdevs, dev about the rep score not working on the wallet page, looks like they fixed it. So with time your issue will also probably be fixed.
