Feature update for Steemit UI/UX enhancement suite
New Features
Added hide resteems functionality from feed and user profiles.
An url parser was added to know when to activate the functionality. A non intrusive button was added in the top right corner. A function hiding resteemed posts was added. Related commitAdded on hover SBD and STEEM price popup
Previous implementation had the price information appear inline which caused some layout issues in some cases. The new popup appears on hovering the post value info.
The generated html was rewritten and styled.Related commit
Bug Fixes
Sometimes the update calls were made too often which resulted in reduced performance and duplicate DOM additions.
The bug was solved by adding underscore js and adding throttling on the update functions which resulted in improved performance and solved the duplicate value fields. Related commit.Cleaned up the code and removed unnecessary parts.

Excellent work. I use this extension and love it! Also, hiding retsteems is something that I wouldn't have thought of, but have used multiple times today and...uhh...it's pretty amazing!
edit: I just noticed that the USD value does not show on my own comments, but does show on others around me. When logged in, it's possible that your own comments are listed under a different DOM node?
Maybe that happens for newly added comments and the DOM parser has not noticed it yet. Thank you for brining this up - this extension is far from complete, and bugs are bound to happen. For now a page refresh usually helps. Stay tuned for bug fixes and new features.
You're correct - a page refresh helps.
Another thing to think about: If I use the "hide resteems" option, I have to make sure I'm at the bottom of the page first, so as to load all the posts onto the DOM. Some people show up empty upon clicking the button because none of their recents are their own
Ah, then I will have to increase the minimum height of the container so you always can scroll and trigger the loading. I can't quite hook in and trigger the load from the extension.

hey beercake, can we have anything like that resteem button to show/hide all activities that users we are following, as a plankton my feed is almost dead. And trending topics are just not working well for me.
edit: Oh, it's a chrome extension, I'm not sure if you can fetch those from api. I thought it's a direct migration to steemit. Sorry bout that. o/

Excuse my English. What I was trying to say is, I want to see activities that people I'm following. Now we are only seeing if they post a blog or resteem it, it would be great if I can see their comments/likes on other posts. So my feed would be populated with much more content and it also lead me to other people to follow.
Hope this one is more descriptive.
Thank you for your explanation. I don't quite know how possible is this. Maybe as a popup. If there is one thing I noticed is that people request features that make them see less, not more of the posts. Will write it down in any case.
