A lot of nice information in your post @paulag. I prefer that bots only be for non-profit use. Bid bot, vote botes, and attack bots need to all be banned if they make money. Bots such as Cheetah-bot, guard-bot, need to be 100% transparent where any rewards are going, such as paying blah blah to do the follow up, and that payment needs to be transparent also.
