I totally agreee with you, commeting can be very rewarding, sometimes I also recieve more for a single comment than on my blogs, but surely this requires to read the authors post and responding towards it, not just simple "follow me and i follow you" stuff... but by engaging in the subject.

im sure the percentage of comment upvotes can get alot higher if some factors change. As in none of those "i upvote you, and you upvote me" comments, andif the author also actually reads the comments, ive seen plenty larger accounts where the author makes a post and doesnt engage a bit in it at all, or only give a full upvote to their own comments and dont care about the rest.

Your top25 list could actually be a good help to minnows who isnt good at making their own content, but do engage in others, and would be a good way to grow.
