Steem googly spectacles
Where is my spectacles let me take a brief look at my journey so far on steemit. I am grateful for the in depth thoughts of the devs of steemspectacles, with this project now, i am able to see, a list of the frequent people who supports my blogs and How they have contributed to my journey in terms of sbd. I love it.
One of the most interesting thing about life is the ability to miniaturize bulky data into very small and compact sizes. When this is done it helps to take a quick overview of a vast information and deduce or interprete for further works. I believe the need for compact information was what brought the likes of graphs, charts, histogram, bar charts, e.t.c. in to view today. And this tool has greatly improved data handling over the years. I believe steemit user datas can be displayed using some of this tool, So as to help users take a quick overview of how far he/she has come and to make adjustment.
Suggestions
Charts
I suggest that steemspectacles, include charts in the list of data that they display on their site. An example of the chart is the payout chart. This (bar chart) should include the sbd and steem payouts on posts for a period of time. Take for illustration the diagrams below that i made to explain the idea.
The horizontal axis represents the months (january to April for example), this can also be days of the month or hours of the day. While the vertical axis represents the payouts. This can be in units (1, 2, 3, ...), tens (10, 20, 30, ...), hundreds (100, 200, 300, ...).
The blue bars represents the steem while the red bars represent the steem dorlar (sbd).
There can also be line graphs on it to explain the trend for each users.
Charts like this can be available for the numbers of follows, number of mentions, comments e.t.c.
With this kind of information each user can take a deept statics of his or her growth on steemit, to encourage him or her to do more or to challenge them when viewing another persons profile
Benefits of Charts
- Compacted information like this helps to take a quick overview of a persons progress over a period of time.
- For project accounts and corporate accounts it helps in compiling a progress report for use of the owners.
- It will help a user to check through other people's growth to encourage or challenge them.
I also suggest that the totals of the steem and sbd gained should appear on the chart and the total steem, sbd transferred.
Light theme
I suggest that the devs of steemspectacles should include the light theme in background of the site. The theme of the site is black
If you check steemnow.com there is an option where you can switch from light theme to dark theme.
When you select light theme
And when you select dark theme
I suggest that there be an option to switch between the light and dark theme on steemspectacles.com.
Many thanks to @pilcrow and @sjennon for this great tool.

Being able to visualise data is something most wants to see. It makes for an easier understanding of the numbers for both the technical and non technical person.
Good suggestion @ayobami99
