Yesterday i made a post to request for thinkers to give in ideas towards the creation of steemstockphotos.com, a free photo library that showcase pictures of all race in equal proportion. In the post, i made some interesting hypothesis of the present free stock photos library that we have, which was an adaptation of @stellabelle post on two months ago that:
When you search for pictures according to race, (for example: A black man) you will find out that almost all of the pictures you will find is white men or worst of all black and white photos. This only prove that the free stock photos library that we have is a mirror of where the developers of these websites come from (mostly white). Well it is normal but we feel the rest of the world has been majorly misrepresented.

I also used other generic queries as search key words like ‘black women', i made an interesting discovery that the situation is still the same with what i got searching for black man on pixabay.com - 90% off topic or white coloured skin which further proved that these websites are a reflection of those who created it. Again i will say it is not their fault. The reason might be that the rest of the world are late or have not seen to this! but it is never too late as we can do something to correct it. It might take time but then no matter how long the voice of the rest of the world in this regard can be heard.

I did not stop there, i continued to search for more general queries like ‘a man standing' on pixabay and shutterstock, i came with a conclusion after seeing the set of result that @stellabelle was right to say that the internet has been a racist all this while. This is not to abuse or raise a commotion or war against the internet builders or developers, we should thank them for the great initiative to have such tool on the internet. We all have benefited from their benevolence and sacrifice to make quality pictures available to all and sundry for free. But this should challenge the rest of the world to rise and do something about this situation. @stellabelle ended her post by inviting steemians to rise and build a photo library which will in essence give the pictures of all race in equal proportion.

This was what informed @blackphotos on steemit and subsequently steemstockphotos.com as the domain name. We are still on the look out for developers -please read here to get more information and thinkers to make this vision a reality.
I have to go through the history of steemwtockphotos again so that the reauest for designers may be perfected with thorough understanding of what it is all about.

Designers are requested to:

• Come up with a design of a logo for this project. Please when you make the post of your contribution, make sure you explain why you choose the logo and the steps you used to create it. Rest assured if your design is accepted, your name will be written on the platter of gold as part of the co - developers to the website (and who knows you could be part of the beneficiaries for this work!)

• Come up with a design for advertising materials like fliers or banners to be used to:
  a. Call for developers : you can read the post here
  b. Call for thinkers
  c. Call for sponsors
  d. Call the entire onliners to particitpate in the project.
  e. Any other banner you can designer to aide the project.
  It should be noted that designers must be explicit or explanatory enough to give the details of your design (why you choose the design, steps, e.t.c.) so that your contribution my be accepted on utopian.io
• Design gifs to summarize what the project is all about. Please follow the due procedures for your contributions to be approved.

Each of these tasks can be picked seperately and made into a post or collectively, depending on your prerogative as a designer. The posistion for members for this project is still very open. Anybody can join so far you have passion for the project.
