Django Girls Tutorial: Empowering Women Through Programming (Part 4)

Project Details

Being an area ruled by men, programming has never been a forte of women. But thanks to the breakthroughs of the call for gender equality especially in workplaces, women are slowly making its way toward technology developments. Django Girls Tutorial is just one of the many communities who are actively promoting programming for women.

Just a quick overview, Django Girls aims to inspire women to be inclined to programming. In fact, their website say

Django Girls is a non-profit organization and a community that empowers and helps women to organize free, one-day programming workshops by providing tools, resources and support. We are a volunteer run organization with hundreds of people contributing to bring more amazing women into the world of technology. We are making technology more approachable by creating resources designed with empathy.

As a woman, knowing about this community with such an ambitious goal inspired me to make a contribution. Since they want to empower women all over the world, there is a call for the project to be localized.

The source language of the project Django Girls Tutorial is English.

Translated Language

And finally, the Django Girls Tutorial has been completely translated into Tagalog! Thanks to all the contributors who took part in this project. All the 28, 469 translatable words have been translated 100%.
