RE: Top of Utopian.io: January 24-31
True, true, but dangerous... I'm very committed to earn more coins because current marketing was wrong on so many levels that even one improvement could make a huge impact.
However, what is concerning me is this:
We could say that other platforms have taken a piece, but... Flat...
Even worse than flat...
I'm afraid that once the authors are lost, those become a serious weight. They don't like the product, they will say "I'll never, ever..."
Lower price = less users = even lover price =...
At one point, all the gains we achieved as a community could be lost.
I hope that Steem(it) will be able to find new niches, as "a blog about everything" is simply not suitable for the majority of users.
For example, this specialized blog about aviation, written in Serbian, can generate 200 comments - no problem. Steem(it) can only dream about that https://tangosix.rs/
What I don't like to see is the struggle to create communities - while there are already established communities
And there is the struggle to create new dApps/games - while there are games already. https://www.erepublik.com
My hope was that Steem will be able to establish itself in at least some of the existing communities, but the mindset in the crypto world is "the history started from the Block No1"
I really don't know what to hope for? It seems easy to extinct and to "moon", at the same time.
"Utopians" make we believe in Moon
"Trending page" is putting me back to the ground

It may be caused partly by the fact that there were Steem/Steemit forks and alternatives created. They took the idea and refined it to be more satisfied with the system. That may be a disadvantage of the first one in the field because they had to create everything from ground up.
In my opinion, one of problems of Steemit and Steem is that they don't have a direct and easy way to filter app- or topic-specific content. Moreover, many people were told that they can earn money quickly, and thus defying the idea for content creators.
Regarding the number of commentators. It is because it is not simple for people to discover new and interesting content and easily return back to something they saw earlier. @steempeak has some features that help the user to make a collection of favourite and bookmarked posts but that may not be enough. Also, the limitation of 7 days may stop people from interacting at a post because it is not going to increase the visibility and lots of authors don't reply at old posts.
<3 YES! <3
My mom is a school teacher (informatics). When kids become unbearable, she has a unique way of "torturing them": "Do whatever you want...". Walk around, talk, play with your phones, whatever.
After 30 min - they become exhausted. And they star begging to get something to do. After that, they will be very motivated for at least 3 months.
People need topics
This is why I'm constantly agitating for the idea of "hiring Pros".
For example, those people from T6 are real pilots. Civilian, fighter jets, ground attack aviation, test pilots, AA defence... Those people know crazy details. Details you can't find anywhere. Of course, enthusiasts like me will go there to read. Nothing on Steemit can't match them. And they want to stay there, not to come to Steemit.
Why we don't integrate them? We are voting anyway. Imagine steemSTEM with professional test pilots... Turning anonymous people into top
gunscontent creators is - simply impossible.<3 Agree again <3
this is because we are trying to use only those who are on Steemit, 70.000 maybe, while there are 7.000.000.000 living hoomans.
They are living their lives, doing their profession and have no idea / don't care to earn some coins.
Selling point of Steem, IMO, should be: this is the universal Like-coin. Like those who you love, and be their patron. Earn coins/Like-power by getting likes. It's easy to integrate it into any existing website. Open your account in 2 clicks, now. Post anywhere, because it's universal.
