@airhawk-project; Promoting Steemit on Telegram.

Telegram is a social network that allows up to 5000 members in a group. This feature promotes conversation within many people with similar interests. This also makes it a place to introduce persons to Steemit.

@airhawk-Project is affiliated with a Telegram group with over 1,400 members. That number of members can hardly be accommodated in any other social network. That is the reason the @steemdotcom group was created in the first place. The purpose of this group was mentioned in details in our introduction post. I would suggest you read that here

In @steemitdotcom group on Telegram, we do not just invite people to Steemit and abandon them.We interact, share ideas and also offer help to everyone in and out of steemit as our capacity can take.

Curation Initiative

The community leases SP(from proceeds of partnerships deals with some organisations) in order to encourage content makers in this regard at no cost at all to the members. A 30k SP was eased few weeks ago while the current 50k Sp follows in thesame vein. We also have some curie curators who assist newbies by submitting their quality posts to curie. .So you see, we actually guide these new ones to a successful journey on Steemit.

Managing a group of over 1,400 persons is not easy. So among the group members, admins were selected to manage the group in a simple way. These admins were selected to assist our founder @dreamchasser, in organizing the group.

We also conduct giveaways in the group too. Who does not like a giveaway? :) This makes Steemit very interesting to these new ones. Even when they have not started earning with the website, they can win loads of SBDs and other cryptocurrencies in the telegram group.

Airhawk-project Blog

This has been a useful tool used in communicating with the generality of the steemit community.It has also been used in encouraging steemians through the several contest being organized and the useful information being disseminated with it.

Administration

In order to have a well activity on the group, we have some subgroups which are
*The steemitdotcom(t/me/steemitdotcom) main group which houses general discussion for the platform

• The linkzone which is where members are allowed to share their post with other members for upvotes and visit by the community account.
  
• airhawk-project archive, previously called Steemitsignals. As the name implies, it is an archive of important information relating to Steemit as these information could be easily missed in the numerous conversations on the main page. Interaction is not possible in this group, as only links to important lectures and events on the main group can be found. Not all members of our main group are in this subgroup. Becoming a member of this subgroup is optional.

• The airhawk-exchange. This is an initiative of the founders to create a platform wherein members can exchange their SBDs and Steem for quick fiat. This has to a large extent encouraged people on steemit as they could get away with the bottlenecks in dealing with the exchanges. Also, it helps to show those ones not familiar with the crypto space at all get value for their tokens and eventually, see steemit as a place to stay.

Steemit Education/Promotion

The steemitdotcom main group is the location for discussions generally about steemit and where most new entrants to steemit meet with the community. It is usually the location for lectures and various interactive sessions which has been much responsible for the growth of the community as members tend to bring in more of their friends and advertise steemit to them due to the support and knowledge they are gaining from their association with the group. People of different nationalities from Nigerians, Indians, Indonecians, Aceh, South Africa, Ghana,... e.t.c.

As said above, periodic lectures are organized in the group and here is one delivered by @honourmaus on steemit etiquettes.

Conclusion

The various activities and support system put in place by this community have contributed immemcely to the growth of this platform for the over 2 months inexistence of the project itself while the group had existed since June 2017.
Let's make Steemit known to everyone, no matter where the person stays. Steemit does not know countries, all she knows are persons contributing to a better community.
