My new logo design for open source "Vanilla Music" Proposal
Details
Vanilla Music is a music player with a simple interface similar to the stock music player. Supports browsing by folder, queueing, shake-to-skip and more. Supports the same audio formats as the stock music player since the system media APIs are used.
BENEFITS/IMPROVEMENTS
The proposed new logo is the combination letters "V", music note and icon play. so users will immediately connect the logo and brand. By updating the Vanilla music logo, I want to create a modern logo and not a simple icon, so users will be interested in this app.

To design this icon, I use the application CorelDraw X7. I think CorelDraw app is easy for me to use then another apps similiar like CorelDraw.

That font you choose is not suitable for this work, and proportions between logomark and type is too much.
This is their reddit page, and as you can see logo text is almost same as navigation links. Also it's hard to read, please keep these in mind.
