Introduction

What is Piggybudget?

Piggybudget is an android application that is used for keeping track of user’s expenses. Piggybudget is an android application that runs with no ads and at the same time it is free to use.

The application comes with awesome features that can improve the users experience and the way their budget and expenses are been handled. They include:

• Simple User Interface
  Most of the similar applications that perform the task of budget tracking are filled with jam-pack features that make it hard for users to understand. But in the case of piggybudget it has a simple interface that make it very easy to understand for users.

• History
  The Piggybudget history page is very useful, it is where the new and existing users expenses records are located. The history features displays all the user expenses records listed accordingly based on time of recording.
  Editing of expenses is enabled on the application that allows users to delete unwanted expense/budget record.

• Distribution expenses
  This feature summarizes all expenses on a pie chart format where users can view all outgoing money and what it is being used for. User can toggle between weekly, monthly and yearly.

Proposal

Piggybudget is a simple application that is use to track expense and budget and adding the proposed features will make the usage of the application more understandable and the same time enjoy more options of keeping good track of expenses and budget.

Adding this new features can make the application better and also improve users experience.

• Language
• Visualize Income report
• Bookmark

Language

I suggest the addition of Language selection on the piggybudget application. Since this application is available worldwide, there are some countries that do not speak the application default language which is English Language. It makes it difficult for them to be able to understand the application and its usage since they are unable to read and understand the English language.
If live a country that does not speak English language and i want to keep track of my expenses and budget using an android application. Downloading the piggybudget application is one application i can use to do that task, Now piggybudget is an application that is run with the English language, it will be difficult for me to use the piggybudget application because i wont be able to understand its usage due to the fact that it has been programmed all through with English language.
Therefore, I propose the addition of Languages feature, that will enable users to easily select language of choice to run the application.
For examples: (English, Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian, German, French etc).

Visualize income report

Having the whole picture of your expenses will give clear view of your financial life. Having a visualize income report about all your monthly expenses and budget will give a clear and better understanding where your money comes and goes.
At the end of month, having a clear pictorial form that will show the previous month information about users expense and budget will make the application more preferable and useful for proper checking month after month.

I suggest this addition of this feature on the piggybudget application in order to make users have a better experience about their financial status and report. This will serve as a statement about income and expense month after month.

Bookmarks

I suggest the addiction of bookmarks to the piggybudget application, where users can easily input their favourite expenses and records. Bookmarking them will make it useful in-case of future use. It is also a form of shortcut to the bookmarked expenses and budget.
If i prefer a particular record of expense and budget, i can save it in the bookmark tab, so when i want to use it again in future i can go to my bookmark tab and take it from there for review.

BENEFITS

* Language*

This is a very important feature that will improve the application. It will allow users to select from a language of choice. Instead of wasting time to adjust to the default language, learning before you can use, or going for another application that could be irrelevant though the language feature is present. You can therefore go to the language settings and choice the language of your choice.

Visualize income report

This feature is very important because it will allow the users to have a very clear view of their financial life.

Bookmark

The bookmark feature is very important for this application because it allow users to be able save their favourite expense so that they can make use of it later. Looking for it on the history tab won’t only be time taker but also stressful and even end up not getting what is needed. The bookmark feature will be very useful in this aspect because it just serve as a shortcut way to get a vital expense information or report.

Conclusion

If the feature is been implemented it will really improve users experience and change the way the application is been operated.
