DuckDuckGo: The pro-privacy search engine

~

Unbiased research requires zero censorship

Everyone has times in their life when they search for  something strange. It may be a seemingly innocent word that you didn't know the meaning of, or an accidental double entrendre. There are also plenty of situations in which you may want to research all sides of a debate or various odd religious practices in order to understand them better.

If we want to seek the truth and see the world as clear as possible, unbridled curiosity is the best method. However, there are still people in the world who jump to conclusions and research should be unhindered by the censorship of groupthink and intellectual laziness.

3 great tools for protecting curiosity that I recommend are a private browser search, a VPN, and a browser sandbox. I will be posting the other 2 reviews over the next few days.

DuckDuckGo advertise themselves as "the search engine that doesn't track you,"  offering what seems to be search results from other top search engines. They also allow language and regional selection, in case you find results restricted by your area. A really easy way to use DuckDuckgo is to select it as your search bar default since it is now included as a built-in option in Firefox and Safari.
