It was a refreshing change buying and holding a stable digital currency for the very first time, that is why I would recommend it anyone just getting into crypto. Buying USDT is essentially buying crypto less all the risk. It is essentially like shorting all cryptos at once, you just HODL the same like Bitcoin but in reverse! It takes some getting used to but if you can master this mode of trading the sky is the limit! Hopefully one day Steemit.com will gave users USDT wallets to attract these very type of new users into our vast ecosystem. We need a simple gateway currency, and it is USDT!
6K Triple Dip Or Bust!
I never gave Tether a second thought until recently after my friend @poyraz mentioned to me that he had gone back into USDT after the Bitcoin Private catastrophe! His plan is to simply hold USDT while he waits out the storm until BTC 6K! What do you think, do you think we will see 6K again? Please leave your BTC bounce point prediction in the comments section below. Maybe 6K third time is the charm?
Why do we need USDT, Don’t we have Steem Dollars already for this??
We do already have Steem Dollars which are supposed to be pegged at one dollar, but I think we can all agree by now that this vision failed because SBD now only moves anywhere steem does, which does not hedge anything! This was not the vision of our founders, so is time to add USDT to this site and bring some stability back to Steemit.com! USDT is just another tool, and steemit should give it to the people.

I am not a trader, but i've heard from some that if you want to buy steem, you first buy bitcoin, then you need to convert these bitcoin into usdt, then you can buy steem, is it true?
Not true, USDT is not needed to purchase STEEM. To first buy steem you can use block trades and convert Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, or any of their other supported currencies and trade them for steem. The simplest way to buy steem is to buy Bitcoin first and use that to buy the steem. USDT is not necessary to buy steem. Just click but steem from your wallet and use block trades!
