Joe Biden: Our democracy has been attacked; Trump tried to use a gang to silence US voters

President-elect Joe Biden said that President Donald Trump encouraged the attack on the Congress building yesterday by protesters.

Speaking in Wilmington, Delaware, Biden described the events as "one of the darkest days in US history" and said there was an attack on democracy. Biden addressed the rebels who entered the Congress building as "local terrorists".

"If those who protested in Congress were the Black Lives Matter group, they would be treated very differently than the gang that raided Kapitol. Nobody can tell me otherwise," Biden said.
