Softness and Social Media Enforcement...

in #usalast year

If you've ever live-streamed on TikTok you will know how freaking petty TikTok's enforcement of its policies is. TikTok viewers will report you for absolutely anything, and if it's not the employees, the AI automatically reports your channel. It's absolutely insane.

I've been reported NUMEROUS times on TikTok while live streaming for things that are not explained. They don't actually give you an accurate reason as to why, and they don't highlight a part of the live stream as the reason why your stream was cut off. You could be streaming for TWO HOURS and have your live stream kicked off and not "learn" what the problem is so you can avoid it later in the future.

At least on Twitter and Facebook, they give you an example or show you your post that got flagged. On TikTok, they simply just do not specify. Now, I've got no issue with businesses being garbage, like TikTok, but I find it hilarious that this is the kind of culture that young people are consuming.

The culture of TikTok is this:

  • Can't say 'suicide', you have to say "ending yourself"
  • Can't say Rape or sexual abuse, you have to say "S.A."

These are just some examples, TikTok is deliberately trying to change how young people speak about certain subjects. It's very detrimental.
