howdy today sir Vincent! haha! I really like the one about the woodpecker using his head and keeps pecking away. What is your passion to work on sir Vincent? Steemit?
howdy @janton. Good morning!
I don’t think I have a ‘passion to work on’. I give the word laid back new meaning. I don’t really know what I am passionate about. Oh wait, I am passionate about quotes, but that is just reading and collecting them. Does that count?
I do not like this new Resource Credit thing. A couple of posts and a couple of comments, and it is used up. And they wait forever to replenish. Duh!
howdy sir Vincent! haha! I love this.."I give the word laid back new meaning. " that is too funny and not true either because like you admitted you are passionate about quotes! so we got ya for something, or got ya down for something.
And quotes can be very entertaining or educational, or motivational or informational or soothing or inspirational so I think it's a very unique niche to have.
But as far as the new system, yuck! I read the update yesterday when they said everything was fixed and stable and is a great help to the small and new accounts and I was like whaaaaat???
It's the opposite. I don't know if anyone has told them yet or not. lol.
It's crazy. I had to buy a little steem and then lease some sp just to keep commenting.
So you may have to do that sir Vincent. If you're married you might have to ask your wife for a loan! I know, it's a freaking pain in the butt. The large account holders love it.
And some large account holders are delegating to the smaller ones and that's what I will do when I get built up with my own actual sp power or rc power or which ever we're supposed to call it now.
But the present system, unless it is still re-configuring, sucks for the new and small accounts who they say are the ones they were trying to help.
So when you figure this out let me know so I can understand it..when you have the power to comment back to me...and you're right it takes forever to build the rc power back up for us smaller accounts but the larger ones it replenishes real fast! lol. of course.
This is just illogical to me and makes no sense unless the system will keep adjusting to give small accounts more power.
thank you for your time sir Vincent and I hope you get recharged fast or can put some outside money in to buy sp.
It's the same story all over isn't it? Big fish eats small fish; the rich gets richer. I guess that's life. We, on our part, just have to do the best that we can and try not to be eaten up. And if it is no fun anyway, then we go play somewhere else. I wonder if any newbies have given up and went away. :-)
I might put some money into it if they make it easier to buy Steem with fiat money. At the moment, I am still not sure how to do that. Not that I have a lot of $ to spare anyway.
To maximize the RC, I will answer your comment from the other post.
I guess I spend a fair bit of time on Steemit. Although my posts are not original in content,, I still have to go through my collection and decide what to post. This takes time. You may, or may not have noticed that there is a different theme for each day of the week.
No, I am not married.
Have a great day ahead. :-)
Sir Vincent! yes sir, buying steem is a pain in the rear! The only reason it's easy for me is that I already had a little bit of bitcoin in a wallet so I just transfer it to the steem account and they change it into steem and add it to my account.
But just buying another coin type and then putting it somewhere and then transferring it to steemit is a hassle, huge hassle to buy crypto since almost all the credit card companies stopped the use of their cards for purchasing crypto!
So that process alone has turned into a massive hassle.
As far as newbies given up, I know of at least three just myself so if I know of three then there has to be hundreds if not thousands! I think it's a disaster but I don't know how you determine those numbers.
Hey my posts aren't original content either if they are a history post and most of mine are. And I know you do a different theme each day, that's very cool.
The only way I've been able to grow my account is to try and comment lots of posts, on lots of posts I should say, and try and make friends, and then winning the Engagement League so many times has gotten me a good bit of notice..or notoriety to some people..but it has really gotten my name out there.
But I still don't know how people make good money because I'm still just making a dollar or a dollar and something. Ha! for all these hours it's crazy and a good sized gamble.
You make more in one post than I do in all posts for a week. But hey, you worked hard for it, so you deserved it. But I think the RC has curtailed commenting somewhat. I think comments are considered as posts.
I am still clueless how the RC is replenished. I was at 1 percent yesterday afternoon, so I have to give up on Steemit for the day. This morning it was only 3 percent. Then suddenly it was up to 14 percent in 5 hours. Yesterday, I managed 2 posts and 2 comments before I was told to buy more Steem Power. Oh well, never mind, life goes on....
sir Vincent! yes sir I am more successful at this point but your approach is probably much wiser because mine is a gamble. I'm spending I don't know how many hours a day on it. 17 hours on average and if this doesn't work out and goes away then that was not a good strategy so I'm taking a big risk.
I've worked my tail off connecting with lots of people and a few of them stuck with my blog so I'm thankful. As far as the rc's go, I don't understand them either but when I get my account built up I'll delegate you some. right now I mostly have delegate sp myself so I can't delegate that, I have little of my own yet.
Hopefully in a couple of months we'll have a clearer picture of where steemit is headed and if it is worth the time investment!
Howdy @janton. You are spending a lot of time of Steemit. I guess you are treating it as a full-time job. If that were the case, then you are taking a big risk. Anyway, let's hope that 5, 10 years down the road, cryptocurrency will be the flavour of the century, and Steem amongst the leader of the pack. :-)
Thank you for your offer of a delegation. That's very kind of you, but I wouldn't worry about that. I will just plod along and see what happens. The rewards - though very much appreciated are by-products.
Yes, Time will tell, and give a clearer picture of where Steemit is heading. Let's hope our interests/investment is not misplaced.
Have a great weekend!
