Which tank should my device be equipped with?

The statement above is not correct, but we want to emphasize by this way that even if you have the best battery, your steam experience will be worthless if you do not screw up a good evaporator. Additionally, this adds: If you have the best battery and the best evaporator, if the e-liquid you are using does not matter to you, then you will not find anything. Distinguish Clearomizers vs Sub Ohm Tanks
When we talk about evaporators in this context we talk about clearomizers and not about sub-ohm tanks. The difference between both is mainly due to the resistance of the coils in the device. Clearomizers are basically used with typical eGo electronic cigarettes or the variable voltage variant. Sub ohm tanks are used with Mods. They are built to handle much higher wattages.

What do clearomizers / tanks differ from each other?
CONNECTION

The evaporator can be equipped with a 510 connector, an eGo connector or both. Both connections are compatible with an eGo battery.

CAPACITY

The capacity or amount of e-liquid to which the tank is placed can vary widely. Most evaporators have a capacity of between 1.6ml and 2ml. Also larger models with capacities from 2.5ml to even 6ml are technically compatible with your eGo battery. Here's the fact that the diameter is a lot bigger than the diameter of your battery. RESISTANCE / MTL VS DL

NUMBER OF COILS

Single Coil
A single coil evaporator has 1 coil / coil. Single coil vaporizers have a much lower e-liquid consumption compared to dual coils. In addition, the average battery power is around 20% lower. The vapor produced is warmer than with dual coils.

Dual Coil
A dual coil evaporator has 2 coils / coils. Dual coil evaporators generally produce more vapor and the vapor produced has a higher density. The chance of a "dry hit" - a pull that has a dirty taste - is greater with dual coils. Now, the better clearomizers catch this through an improved liquid flow.

COIL FAMILIES

As you know, a tank is always provided with a coil (head). Nowadays, you can not go without a device of which you can replace the coils. Where there was only one type of coil available for each tank (possibly in various resistors), you see today that manufacturers make a whole family of coils available for their tanks. The differences are based on the number of coils (vb single, dual) the manner in which the coils were built (vb clapton), the wicking material used (vb cotton) and the type of resistance wire used (eg sidebar, nickel , Titanium, stainless steel). COIL POSITIONING

Top Coil
At a top coil evaporator the coil / coil is on the top. A top coil evaporator produces a warmer vapor because the coil is closer to the mouthpiece. The big advantage compared to a bottom coil is the ease with which you can refill them. Bottom Coil

With a bottom filling system, you must unscrew the tank from the battery, keep the tank upside down, unscrew the base of the tank and then add your e-liquid.

The type of evaporator that is attached to your device is important but not crucial. If you are not satisfied then switch to another brand or type. After all, your battery or mod is often compatible with the full range of clearomizers / tanks with an eGo or 510 connection.

In addition, evaporators undergo a much faster evolution than batteries. More than likely, you will switch over to another type of evaporator during the life of your battery, looking for a better or different steam experience.

If your evaporator is worn, you have three options:

Buy a set of spare coils and replace the coilhead of your original clearomizer.

Looking for another clearomizer / tank with eGo or 510 connection (and the right resistance).
With mini e-cigarettes, this is another story. Once the cartridges that came with your mini electronic cigarette starter kit are used up, you are almost sure to purchase the same cartridges (or, in any case, carts from the same manufacturer) to replenish your stock.
