October Food Packing - With Young Enthusiasts and a Wonderful Surprise Visit
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
It is always a blessing to have young generations willing to step in and journey something that most children do not experience in the 21st Century, especially in an Urban city.
And when you have children as young as 5 who instead spending time hiding in their warm beds with toys but to come and be and extra pair of hands to assist their mummies and daddies, this is truly a blessing.
Moreover when you have young talented minds like @jpphotography who graciously accepted @littlenewthings ' invitation to come visit with this professional camera and his brilliant introduction of his experience with us!
But the excitement didn't pause the rest of the volunteers for too long, instead, while the camera clicked away they continued with their busy schedule getting everything packed and done.
We have been so grateful for some of our volunteers who came 2 days earlier and started packing so with 30 pair of hands and only 80 packs left, the packing became a breeze.
Our volunteer enjoying one of his fellow team member's brilliant invention to flip the egg crates to check for bad quality eggs
Even checking eggs for cracks and quality has become a breeze with a brilliant hack invented by SK (one of our volunteers) while the rest placed the good eggs into 10 or 15 egg containers.

While the rest kept packing, making sure the items go for the right recipients.
@jpphotography also brought along his friend, Marta, who spontaneously accepted the invitation and came to help briefly in the assembly line.
But the volunteers were so quick they didn't even get to break much sweat.
The most to take home for the day are the Lee children. If you have read through our articles before they are the grandchildren of a recipient family who only had the grandparents to look after them.
2 years down the road with the Food Bank has turned them into vibrant energetic volunteers who are not only helpful with our monthly distribution bag packing, they became adorable welcoming hosts for visitors from abroad.

And this will definitely chart their course of lives throughout in a much different, yet impactful way.
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
Psalm 127:3-4
Steemfest
Although we will not be able to be there this year, but we are sending our love with the little gifts we have prepared, and will be brought over by @littlenewthings . Therefore be sure to take one from us and hope you will keep following our newsletter with more stories.
By the way, we only have 30 buttons. Therefore it will be first come first serve!
Do stay tuned for more stories in this September series as we share with you what else that our recipients have greatly been blessed.
Thank you so much for your support and prayers. Every month is a battle for us to source for sponsors, and we know that your prayers and support truly has helped us through another hurdle.
