August Distribution - with surprises!

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” - Luke 6:18 (NIV)

This has truly been the word that inspired us throughout the month of July as we continue our marathon of faith assisting and collaborating with other centers and food resources.

And truly, God never shortchanges us when we learn to trust Him with what we have and with prayers and thanksgiving we continue to lift up this challenging ministry we have at hand.

If you have been reading our newsletter we mentioned we were blessed with rice crackers and the children at centers truly benefited. (read our post from the link)

And then, came another batch of wonderful blessings when we received a call from LK Fresh Eggs that they would like to bless us another round of 300 trays of eggs, just before the end of the month.

With our last month's experience where we kept running out of egg crates to pack for the under privileged families, we did a bold call out in both Instagram and Facebook:

And the overwhelming wonderful response from the Malaysian netizens in the Klang Valley came into help.

Within 48 hours we had 35 shares and over 12 thousand viewers saw this plea and our volunteers had to scramble in and liaise with these donors to receive the empty crates!

We even received so many drop offs from our trolleys the entire week before packing.

It was truly indeed a blessing!

Food packing came, and even though we didn't have the full team around as many were not in town, we started 2 days earlier.

Other collaborating outreach for refugee children in Cheras didn't mind rolling up their sleeves and help packing together when they realised we were shorthanded this month.

We were truly grateful with all the help we could get.

Then came another surprise!

We were contacted by Lucky Frozen Sdn Bhd that they had extra frozen meat and they didn't want those to go to waste, and we received them with gratefulness

It was truly an exciting day and we managed to contact 10 rehab centers around the Klang Valley district to come collect the frozen food.

They were all surprised and excited with gratefulness!

By August came, we were just so happy that we got the whole distribution out on time.

The coastal under privileged aboriginal families got their food ration including extra fresh eggs!

Under privileged families from outreach churches received their portion as well.

Above is one of them, approximately 10km away from our premise.

Our own Chinese language outreach team sent successfully sent the food ration to the under privileged families including senior citizens and struggling single parents.

Overall, we are just so grateful that this round the community truly came in to band in together to make this happen; even the smallest gesture made a great difference!

Previously we were very much looking forward to team up with @craftsofluv and @omnivori to join in the soon Lifecare Community Service charity bazaar that was supposed to be scheduled on September; but due to unforseen circumstances this was being cancelled.

They have been working hard to prep for the charity sales and we truly apologise for their good heart.

These are such great people who has gone great lengths to help the under privileges and we hope to have opportunity to work with them for the next bazaar in the future.
