Update on ONO Social Media Platform: The rules and principles of the ONO Social Media Application, April 24th, 2018

If you remember from my previous article on ONO, this is the first social networking DApp which will launch on EOS. The founder of ONO is Chinese entrepreneur Ke Xu and it appears that she plans to radically change social media using the block chain. Ke Xu describes her project as an entirely new social network that does not sell user data, but instead is based on the principles of freedom, human value exchange, integrity, decentralization and a commitment to creating deeper social experiences. The DApp is still being refined and improved, but at this time you can sign up to be one of the first 300,000 people to use the application by going to their website and downloading the application. It is a free first come, first serve opportunity to use the application and contribute to the development of the ONO social media community. Now there is more information available to describe the application and the community.

The following is what I believe are the rules and principles of the ONO Social Media Network:

1. Create and Earn
   To earn all you need to do is post. ONO is a new social network based on blockchain technology. User can share and explore valuable content with freedom. We want to protect the intellectual property of individuals, and content creators who develop quality content will earn tokens as a reward.

2. For Users Only, Always
   You do not exist to be exploited. Our users are the most precious commodity within the ONO social network, and we cherish each of you. The developers of ONO are dedicated to decentralization, and believe that users should have an opportunity to be equal within our platform. We strive for this goal!

3. A Democratic Social Network
   Your voice will not fall on deaf ears. Every user has the same dignity and opportunity to become a part of the development of our social network. Anyone who wants to make ONO a better place can join the Referendum, where he or she can support change in the way we adapt, the way we govern, or help govern disputes in ONO

4. An Open and Diverse Ecosystem
   ONO is for you! We assembled our ecosystem with developers in mind. Teams or individuals can customize an ONO Dapp and create unique products. Almost all functions of the ONO network will be modular plug-ins, and users can select from them as they wish.

5. Know Yourself
   Finding You on the path to freedom! We want our users to enjoy a broader vision and to find the most interesting people and content. The way our algorithm works not only uses the classic decentralized distributed ledger technology, but also includes machine learning and complex algorithms to prevent good content from being overlooked. ONO designed this method using extended tests.
