This thread aims to compile possible evolutions for the platform.  Here's a bullet point list below and the editor's list:

Features:

• Mentions: A great idea from @mikevas  above. I really like it. I tried to mention manually with a hyperlink, but this could be automated. Being able to mention other writers will open the door for multiple writers contribution. A nice 1st step.
• Multiple writers’ contribution: We are on a sharing platform. How come cannot we work together ?!   I belive a thread should be able to be written by multiple curators: 1 admin curator would validate the work of X side curators for instance. Curators would share the benefits ($ STEEM). I suggest a pure arithmetic average at this stage. Such feature would really allow us to WORK together and to create meaningful content for the community (Tutorials, Guides, etc…) 
• Give modification rights to other users: A 1st step to the “Multiple Writers Contribution” above. One should allow other users to modify his work. Imagine if, based on your comments below, I would allow you to modify this story ? (add / add+delete rights) 
• Split Curated content vs Written content: By curated content I mean articles copy-pasted from the internet. By Written content I mean actual stuff that has been genuinely created by one user.   Users should be able to select between 2 types of stories to read: 1- Short one, Twitter like with 1 link and a short description 2- Longer ones, actually typed by the user. 3-   Value of 1 and 2 should differ greatly as iso-upvotes.   (note: of course you will find cheaters trying to get upvotes on non-original content, but this is the role of the community to watch these)   
• Create “Dossiers” by theme. Allow filtering with multiple tags and topics: The more users, the more content. The more content, the more bad content. Upvoting is a great way to make sure the best content stays up, but sometimes I wish I did not see these vapor_girls pictures or the latest recipe for Daniels’ Grandma’s Fruit Cake. Tags and Topics are good, but I’d like to be able to assemble them in super-filters, in order to create themes. For instance, I am interested in Autonomous cars. I’d create a meta-filter with Autonomous-cars + Driverless + Connected-vehicles. We can imagine other types of “dossiers” too. For instance [Tutorials], [Guides], [Photos], …  
• Jump in page: This would allow to create a short index in front of each thread, and to avoid having multiple stories to run after by clicking. @mikevas calls it BOOKMARKING in his post.
• Notification System: replies, deposits and upvotes.

So, that’s my 5 cents and they are all about the content. I hope we can make this place an awesome one.
