Before the Schoolday started, we gave some umbrellas to these kids as their common need to protect them from the rain. It is very known in the Philippines that when the schooling period starts, the rain starts to pour as well. Although the classes start every June for the primary and secondary level and this time of the month is still summer, it has no guarantee for the bright sunshine still. Weather in the Philippines is seriously unpredictable.

"There is no small gift that comes from the heart".

Every smile you see that seems brightly painted on every child's face was priceless. We have no idea how blessed they were with these small gifts we handed. It was very timely as they confessed since it was not to use only against the rain but for every sunny day as well.

Some children would walk for an hour before they could reach their schools and when it rains during their journey, except them soaked with rain coming to school. And with this gift they receive could protect them somehow.

Aside from those umbrellas, we also handed some snacks which made them happier.
We were able to distribute about 140 of umbrellas all in all to the children in different remote communities.
Reaching these children from very remote places in which some has even no vehicle access was truly fulfilling. You won't mind the bumpy road you go through as long as you could give them those small gifts that would help them greatly.

Medical Mission|Operation Tuli and School Supplies distribution.

The next day, our team goes to the next community and this time we had our Medical Mission | Operation Tuli, Feeding and School Supplies services.

Some professional friend doctors and teachers had joined us in this Mission. We are grateful enough to have them joined our team and took leave from their respected works for a day. It was a blissful day full of simultaneous activities from feeding were the community parents volunteered to cook, distribution of the school supplies facilitated by the school teachers and other teacher volunteers to the Operation Tuli or public Circumcision.

A total of 32 children had a free circumcision. This is quite unpleasant for some other people in other countries to have this happen in an open public but this is completely fine in the Philippines. These children were fallin' in line as early in the morning for this free service. That's how excited they were but when the operation started I saw some kids backing out lol.

School supplies were distributed right after the small games facilitated by the student volunteer. Look how happy these children are when they finally receive their school supplies. Superb!

We would like to thanks our volunteers, partners and kind people who helped us made this outreach possible. Some of our steemians also had contributed in some way to this program from the last couple of months fundraising blog I posted.

To sum up, about 1000 children were benefited from the 3-day outreach. It was all worth the hard works plus the jetlag.

All together making a #SmileCommunity!

Thank you for dropping by and for all your support!

This is a wonderful out reach program, doing good for the children our next generation. Circumcision is very acceptable practice in hot climates, some will not agree, it is the way I see it @wilsonblue5 well done!

Circumcision in open public is really fine in this country but I have some friends in the USA who criticized it but I understand their point though.
Thanks @joanstewart
