Dear Diary: The Repair Of Our House Is Badly Needed

It will be a day of fun and excitement for my neighbors particularly for those that got chosen to take part of this famous afternoon television game show which is set to feature our "Baranggay" or village for their fun-filled game activities. It is said that the roads leading to here will be closed so that the security for the game show hosts which are stars or he show will be assured so that all will run smoothly without any disturbance from the traffic. And yes they can really block the traffic to own the whole village for themselves.

We are just sad and disappointed that my mother who is eager to get picked up for one of their games and cash and gift give-away segments is not chosen. So we will just be watching as spectators for the show and will just wait if something would come up for us. Maybe there is something for us and there might even be a hope for that.

It is my parent's desire to earn and win some cash from that noon time show so that they can be able to fix the house up for its need of repairs like for one thing, the rotted bathroom which really is not looking good all these years because its tiles and the toilet itself is very old and hard water stained plus it gets flooded too when it rains hard. No other type of cleaning would turns it looking good and just needs replacement.

Our roof also is rotten and rusted, it has been like that for many years now and it is still holding anyway but the roof is leaking already and all it needs is replacement as well and it dents when somebody steps on it already. Also, our flooring needs to be raised about two feet from its current level so that we won't get submerged when there is a hard rain downpour.

I think it will be put on my responsibility to fix the house because I remember that time that my brother would be funding the repair of our bathroom. It got postponed because I just needed a multiple blood transfusion at that instance so the money went to my medical treatment. And that was more than fifteen years ago.
