I've already used my voting for another witness. @surpassinggoogle is matchless but I think it would be unfair to change my witness vote at this point because that guy is also working hard to support the community. But I've definite plans to change my witness and set @steemgigs as my new proxy.
I dont even know how to set witness yet... Thats the thing... But i have read about it countless times and i have said when i will eventually do, i am definitely voting @surpassinggoogle
Well you can vote for 30 individual witnesses. You don't need a proxy. You either vote by yourself for 30 individual witnesses or lose your voting power to a proxy. Note that everyone can be proxy, even you

The name of my witness is actually called "steemgigs". You can choose up to 30 witness and i am one of the witness reping naija. It is easy to vote on a witness. Simply visit https://steemit.com/~witnesses then in the first seach box, type in "steemgigs". Witnesses simply run servers that host the steem blockchains etc. There are many witness, but one is able to choose better when they really know steemit.. Left to me, most of my choices are witnesses who i have known to be here long ago when steemit was rough and are still here etc
