That's what you can expect from some specific groups of people on Facebook!
If you see a large number of people on Facebook are just using it because their friends use it too and they don't focus so much or care on what else is out there, they just get stuck with what the rest are using.
Just like that chat you had, I don't think you can find quality people that way from Facebook.
I guess instead if you have some good exposure on Facebook the make frequent posts about this platform and how you are enjoying it.
This will surely attract the eyes of your readers in the long run.
No pain of messaging people individually, people who care will message you on their own.
I think this is the best way to do this. 😀

I guess the introducemyself blog post is one of the most significant way to gain some mass attention and followers.
That's why I'm trying to build up my followers base first through interacting with the community here on comments so when I finally make my introduction post I'll surely get the most exposure possible.

It's little daunting at first everything there but I'll surely get the hang of it soon.
