Through pain, starvation, loss of appetite I came forth

Science made us know that the pain experienced in childbirth is equivalent to suffering 20 fractures at the same time. My mama survived all this. She is my jewel of inestimable value.

Childhood

My Childhood was filled with unforgettable memories, the sweet and the bitter. My mama is one who believed in alternating between the cane, punishments and pampering a child. She would say too much cane will only make him hardened, too much pampering will spoil him. (Iwotunwosi loro aye) Being balance is the key. I love playing football during my childhood days, mama did not like it. She would beat me, give me punishments saying go and do your assignments, house chores, wash your clothes. I hated her, I felt she was harsh, why can’t I be like other children, but mama will tell me it’s all for your future, you will appreciate this later in the future. Then you will decide if you should pray or curse me. This same harsh mama will buy me football, tennis ball, bat, new clothes, new shoes, and pampering me whenever I came first in my exams. I was happy, I took first position in all my years in elementary school. Mama will buy me stuffs I want, little did I know that was the incentives I needed to make me be the best. The gifts she bought me made me work harder so I can be the best, fully knowing I am going to get another if I took the first position.
Mama made me what I am today. A hardworking, trustworthy, and dependable individual. Mama thank you.
